UNE-TL delegation headed by the President Ms. Idelta M. Rodrigues departed Dili today 21-Apr-2017 heading to Bali for the 9th APR Scout Leader Summit organized by APR (Asia Pacific Regional) Scout.
This is the first-time UNE-TL participate in this Leader Gathering Meeting which engage multiple NSO (National Scout Organization) in Asia Pacific Region and its leaders to share knowledge, experience, updates on Scout development within the region.
The Summit will be opened by the Secretary General of WOSM Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi, Participants delegation are confirmed not only from the APR region but NSO from other Region such as Europe and America, making total participants around 400 Scouts.
UNE-TL participation in the event is important for the engagement with other leaders from other NSO, introduce the development of UNE-TL as Scout movement in Timor-Leste but most important is aiming to seek other NSO support in the region leading to the plan for joining the WOSM (World Scout Movement).
The event will be held in Bali from 21-25 April 2017. Amongst the delegation are the International Commissioner Ms. Filomena Reis and Commissioner for Public Relation Mr. Ulderico Ze Machado.
